We are delighted to announce that after several years of intermission, new master classes and workshops have been announced by the Peter Eötvös Contemporary Music Foundation. Thanks to recent favourable changes we can continue our activity on a larger scale than before. Our main aims are promoting contemporary music, organizing postgraduate courses, and helping and giving publicity to talented young composers and conductors in particular. With exceptional projects focusing on a profound understanding of contemporary music in addition to an equally solid technical and intellectual knowledge, not to mention unique experimental initiatives as well as scholarships and awards to apply for, we can offer them professional development. Up to now the Peter Eötvös Contemporary Music Foundation has lacked a building that could permanently house the institute. From November 2012 our foundation is going to be lodged in the new premise of the Budapest Music Center located in the downtown of Budapest. For more information and latest news on upcoming master classes, workshops and other projects, please visit our renewed website at www.eotvosmusicfoundation.org or contact us via e-mail (foundation@eotvospeter.com). Don´t forget to frequently return to our website in September and October, when details of the 2013/2014 courses for composers and conductors with information about our chamber opera workshop will be available! |
